Cate has been playing volleyball since she was 12 years old. She played at Maple Grove Senior High as a setter, where she was named Captain and was the All-Conference selection for the team. She went on to play for the Norse at Luther College. Cate has coached teams for Minneapolis Washburn, Maple Grove, as well as working with youth and adult players for Minnesota Volleyball Headquarters. This will be Cate's second season working as a setting coach for Wayzata. Cate currently works as a Special Education teacher in the Osseo school district. |

I started playing volleyball in 6th grade and have played ever since. In high school I changed positions every year, so I like to play everything but middle. I went to college at UMD where I played with the volleyball club. When I am not playing volleyball or working as an Industrial Engineer at Ev3 I am probably rock climbing or looking forward to the snow so I can try out my new skate skis. |

This will be Cindy & Steve's 10th year as coaches for Wayzata JO's. Longtime players themselves, they became coaches when their daughter (now in her junior year in college) started playing for Wayzata JOs. They both are USA Volleyball CAP Level I and IMPACT certified coaches. They have coached 12s, 13s and 14s teams for Wayzata. They are passionate about teaching young ladies about this sport and love working with the 12s age group. They also find time to play volleyball in recreational leagues throughout the year. |

Gerry has been coaching with WAYVA for 6 years now and will be coaching both the 14-1s and 16-1s teams this year. He has been playing competitive volleyball for 20+ years and currently plays A/AA in the twin cities and nationally. He played 5 years at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire where he was named All-Conference and nominated All-American in 2001. He began coaching shortly after graduating in 2001 and has coached 13's-18's for the past 10 years with Gerry finding his niche for the last 5 years in coaching the 14-1s. |

John started coaching for the club when his daughter (now a sophomore in college) began playing for Wayzata JOs. This will be John's 9th season with Wayzata JOs, coaching the 13-1s again this season. He is also a USA Volleyball CAP Level I and IMPACT certified coach. John has coached 12s, 13s, 14s and 16s with Wayzata, but found his niche with the 13s age group. John enjoys playing volleyball in recreational leagues both indoors or on the sand courts during the summer months.

Kaitlin is currently a senior at Wayzata High school. And even though this is her first time coaching, she has a large amount of volleyball experience and knowledge that she is excited to share. Kaitlin started playing volleyball when she was 12 years old. She played at WAYVA until her 15s year, when she started playing for Minnesota Select. Kaitlin was a libero/ DS for the majority of her volleyball career. As a freshman she played 9a team and as a sophomore she played on JV. As for her junior and senior year she played as a DS for the Wayzata High School Varsity team. Kaitlin is very excited to start her volleyball coaching career at WAYVA. |

Kelly is new to WAYVA this year. She played for Hopkins throughout her elementary, junior high, and high school years. She played for the Hopkins JO program during the off season, and also coached for Hopkins JOs in 2005-2006. Kelly just settled into a new job as an RN at Park Nicollet after moving home from Nevada. She is excited to begin coaching for Wayzata this season! |

Lisa started playing volleyball recreationally in the early 1990's, and began coaching when her daughter (now an 8th grader at BSM) was in 4th grade. This is her 2nd year coaching with WAYVA, where she will be assistant coach for the 14-1s team. Lisa is an IMPACT certified coach, and is excited to share the love of the sport with another team this season. |

Mallory is new to our club this season. Her volleyball experience includes playing for Club Tonka from the ages of 14-17, Wayzata JO's as a senior in high school and varsity for Osseo Senior High sophomore through senior year. Mallory's coaching experience consists of two seasons with Osseo JO 13/14's. She recently changed jobs which will now allow her to get back into coaching JO Volleyball. Mallory continues to play in recreational leagues. |

Pat coached the 10th grade team and assisted with the varsity team at Hopkins for three years. He also acted as club director and coached for the Hopkins Juniors for six years. He is a USA Volleyball CAP Level I and IMPACT certified coach as well. Pat has played competitive volleyball for about 30 years in men's and co-ed leagues and his passion for the sport has kept him playing and coaching, even when his knees keep telling him to stop. This will be Pat's 3rd year involved with Wayzata Juniors. |

Sami has been involved in the WAYVA program since the 06-07 season where she played on the 13-1s, coached by John. She then went on to play on Wayzata's 14-1s,16-1s and 17s teams. Using her foundation she built at WAYVA she went on to play 3 years of high-school volleyball at Totino-Grace. This will be Sami's 3rd year coaching at WAYVA, and her 2nd consecutive year coaching alongside John. |

Sara is new to WAYVA this season. She played volleyball for Buffalo throughout junior high and high school and in the off-season, played for Club Bison and Heartland Volleyball Club. Sara stays active in the sport by playing intramural volleyball at Gustavus and line judging for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference games hosted by Gustavus. Sara assisted in coaching for Club Bison in 2007-2008 and is excited to begin coaching again! She will graduate from Gustavus in December 2011 and plans to move back to the Twin Cities. |

This will be Sue's second year with WAYVA. She has been playing volleyball for over 30 years, starting in high school. She was on two MSF State winning women's teams and played for 5 years in the USAV program, which is the adult version of JO volleyball. Sue loves teaching girls how to play volleyball and is looking forward to another fun season. |
