WAYVA News
4/24/2012 - 13-1s Finish 1st in Silver Division at Orono
After playing some tough matches (and some very close sets) and finishing 3rd in morning pool play, the 13-1s rallied in the playoffs and dominated for the two matches that would win them 1st place and a medal around their necks. They felt it was the best they had played yet this year and I'm just sorry Coach John could not be there to enjoy it. Awesome job girls. Coaches had a lot of fun too!!

4/23/2012 - 14-2s Win Division in MN North Spring Fling
Congratulations to the Wayzata 14-2 team in their tournament results last weekend. The team was competing in the Duluth area Spring Fling. They finished their pool play 2-1 and faced the team that beat them in the final playoff match, and won the match to take first place! It is always great to win, especially when it is a road trip, AND the last tournament of the year for your team. Well done team! A big thank you to Mark and Christy for coaching this year. Have a great summer and see you in November. 8-)

4/17/2012 - Wayzata Represents Well at Waconia
After a day of some good competition, the 14-1's and 13-1's take medals home at the Waconia tournament. After a couple of tough losses in pool play the 14-1s ended up in the silver division and the 13-1's in the bronze. The 13-1's played some solid defense and the middles had some great plays at the net to win the division and take home a medal. The 14-1's got the opportunity to play the team that beat them at the Princeton tourney and came through in a tough match to take the silver division and add a third medal to their trophy case. Congratulations and great job to both teams!
