Wayzata Juniors Coaching Staff
	17-1 - Steve Brown / Pat o' Brien Steve and Pat will be working together to coach this team. You can read more about Steve below with the 15-1s. Pat joins WAYVA this year after stints as assistant varsity coach at Hopkins, and as coordinator of the Hopkins JO program. He had retired from his volleyball duties to focus on his day job but found that he missed coaching too much. Welcome to WAYVA!

	16-1 - Sara Mckee Sara is returning to WAYVA for her second year as a 16s coach. She plays high level adult VB in leagues and tournaments and is looking forward to starting the JO season. We are excited to have her back on staff!

	15-1 - Steve Brown Steve played VB at Michigan Tech for three years, twice competing in national competitions at the University of Texas and the University of Maryland. Since graduating from MTU in 2000 he has continued to play outdoor and indoor volleyball. "I began coaching for WAYVA for the 2001-2002 season and this will be my eighth season. I look forward to working with this year's 15-1s team as they strive to reach the next level of confidence and ability in their volleyball career."

	14-1 - Gerry Brisco Gerry has been playing volleball for the past 18 years. He played for the UW-Eau Claire mens club team for 5 seasons and went to nationals every year there finishing no less than ninth any year, receiving an all-american nomination and 2nd place finish in 1998. He began coaching in 2001 for Midwest Juniors in the Madison area for several years and moved to Minneapolis in 2004. He coached for Minnesota Select for 2+ years and then migrated to Wayzata Juniors and has been here since the 2005-2006 season, finding his niche in the 14-1's. He is a certified MSHSL, USAV, and NCAA official.

	14-2 - Misty Tollakson Misty is a great role model for these young ladies. Misty plays in adult leagues and tournaments and loves getting young players excited about the sport. She has coached 14s and 13s teams and we are glad to have her back for another season.

	13-1 - John Wood This will be John's 7th season with Wayzata Juniors. Age levels that he has coached in the past have been 12s, 13s and 14s. John has received his Certificate of Accreditation from USA Volleyball by completing their Coaching Accredition Program (CAP) course. He enjoys playing volleyball in recreational leagues and tournaments. John and his team had a great season last year, doing very well in the Presidents' Day and Rochester Cup tournaments.

	13-2 - Krystle Boehmer Krystle has been playing since she was in the 5th grade. She played her high school career at LeRoy-Ostrander HS in South Eastern MN. She also played college volleyball at the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse. Krystle is excited to be involved with coaching in a JO organization. We met Krystle while playing volleyball at open gyms and in summer leagues and talked her into sharing and teaching her skills to young players. This will be Krystle's third season as a WAYVA coach.

	12-1 - Jackie Thoennes Jackie Thoennes (NCR certified) is going into her 6th year coaching for Wayzata Juniors. She has coached fundamental skill camps at Ralia Sports Center, coached two years for the 12-2's team of the Wayzata Juniors. The last two years she coached the 12-1s team and has had great success. Jackie enjoys playing and reffing for summer volleyball leagues. Jackie loves volleyball and loves to teach the sport.

	12-2 - Steve and Cindy Bouma Steve and Cindy have been coaching with WAYVA for 7 years. After coaching 14s for the last 3 years, and 12s for two years, they are taking on another team of 12s to teach them a love for volleyball. They play on leagues through the year and want their young athletes to share their love of the game. Steve and Cindy are both IMPACT and CAP level I certified coaches.

	Unassigned - Todd Ziebell, Anne Benson, Fran Sather, Jess Fairbourne These cooaches are waiting to assist as needed when we see what the team needs are during tryout night. Thanks for giving so much of yourselves to help share volleyball.
